Tasty Brown Rice

Ingredients:

  • brown rice
  • low sodium/ low fat vegetable or chicken broth or stock
  • water
  • pine nuts or no salt added roasted sunflower seeds
  • 1 small tomato diced

Preparation:

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions using a stock/water combination that suits your taste
    • add pine nuts or sunflower seeds when you add the rice to the water/stock
  2. With only about 10-15 minutes left to cook, add the diced tomatoes
